Following last week’s announcement of Dita Von Teese’s collaboration with Target Australia, lime door brands and Diamondcut International to launch her new lingerie collection entitled Von Follies by Dita Von Teese, LMFF is delighted to confirm that her appearance at the Festival will be a world first with Dita Von Teese taking to the runway to showcase some of her favourite designs from the new range.

Diamondcut International announces Target as
the exclusive Australian retailer of the upcoming
lingerie collection Von Follies designed by international style
icon, Dita Von Teese.
Von Follies by Dita Von Teese was inspired by Dita's
long-time love of lingerie and her own personal
collection of vintage lingerie. The launch range
combines sophistication and sensuality with
glamorous touches such as grosgrain and velvet
ribbons, delicate eyelash lace, and control mesh to
give the essence of the sultry 1950's pin up girl.
True to Dita's signature style, the collection
encapsulates an iconic vintage feel including a
personal favorite of Von Teese's, the over-wire bra,
as well as high waisted briefs, garter belts, and
lovely chemises. Each item enhances the feminine
silhouette that Von Teese is world renowned for
representing.
Dita explains "It was important to me to accomplish the
task of making these beautiful things in sizes that can make
any woman feel sexy and glamorous, and I'm very proud that
we have been able to do that, while keeping prices
affordable."

"From age 16 I worked in a lingerie store, and I had a very
strong interest in the history of underpinnings and how
styles changed from decade to decade. Even at age sixteen, I
wanted to be a lingerie expert, so I did everything I could
to learn about it! I started collecting vintage lingerie at
a young age, and my love for it is what lead me to imitate
pinup art of the 1940s, and that is what sparked my career
as it is now. Even back then, I equated beautiful lingerie
with femininity and everyday luxury rather than seduction.
Of course, the art of seducing with lingerie is a wonderful
thing, and I am quite aware of the effect it has....but
first and foremost, a woman should seduce herself by
choosing lingerie that is both beautiful and functional that
she can wear in her everyday life, and so bringing these
things together, along with affordability, is what I aimed
to achieve with my lingerie collection."
